Our Mixologist
Alex Archer

Alex Archer is the Estate Mixologist at Wayne Gretzky Estates, a role he has held since 2022. Alex leads the development of innovative cocktail programs across the Whisky Bar Patio, Club Lounge, and special events both on-site and throughout the Niagara region. He began his career in 2018 at Bard’s Steakhouse in Stratford, Ontario, before advancing to General Manager and Head of Mixology at Rockwell Lounge.

His favourite spirit in the portfolio is the Craftsmanship Series Whisky, and his go-to wine is the Shiraz Cabernet. Guests can find Alex at the Whisky Bar Patio or in the Cocktail Lounge throughout the summer, and behind the bar at the estate’s skating rink during the winter season. His favourite part of working at Wayne Gretzky Estates is his role as a leader, mentoring the mixology team and helping staff grow their skills and confidence behind the bar.

In 2023, Alex was nominated for The Blend’s Top 25 Next Generation of Bartenders, recognizing his creativity, leadership, and growing influence in Canada’s hospitality scene.
